Usel i decennier

Den här appen har ett enda syfte – och det är den usel på. Både här i telefonen och på datorn. Det roliga(?) är att om man söker på programnamnet, så får man upp diskussionstrådar som går 15 år tillbaka i tiden. Redan då uppmärksammade man att detta program är uselt. Inte mycket har hänt sedan dess.

Förutom att gränssnittet fortfarande inte har uppdaterats för att fungera med nyare telefonen (trots att appen uppdateras någorlunda regelbundet), så är navigering och användning närmast oanvändbart. Vissa böcker går inte ens att läsa, utan ser ut som dubbelexponeringar eller som om trycksvärtan tagit slut.

Helt otroligt, Adobe! Lägg några promille av era miljardvinster på att fixa detta någon gång.

If your book can be read on this app - look for alternatives. Awful to read on. My expensive book can't properly be displayed and I can't return it either.

Horrible app

The app is still horrible, after years of complaints. Book pages disappear and you simply can’t read the books you’ve bought or borrowed. On the ipad, you can’t use the pen to make annotations (then, why would you when you can’t even see the pages?). I don’t understand how libraries and e-book publishers can recommend (or even force) people to use this app. It’s worthless. Fix it or shut it down.

När jag laddat ner boken och ska läsa så kommer bara varannan eller var tredje sida upp! Eller så syns bara hälften av orden på sidan. Katastrof!! Vilken app ska man använda för böcker som man lånar på biblioteket, de rekommenderar denna!

Terribly app

I’ve downloaded the app to my phone and the computer.

For iOS - it’s not functional at all.

For computer - worst user experience. The search bar doesn’t work, it’s lagging and you can’t read properly as the zoom bar has limited options. I bought expensive course literature that I can’t read through this software. Please don’t use this, you’ll regret it.

A total disaster

The app is totally out of order. The text on almost every page cannot be seen. Now I need to quit the summer course at university which I really looked forward to take - because of technical reasons in this app. This is so embarrassing.

This spring it happened in another course which where crucial for my education. That time I was lucky enough to be able to still read the book online and pass the exam. But this time it didn’t work.

Do you have any idea how this affects people in need of e-books, particularly students? We cannot learn what we need for school.

How can it be this bad?

Downloaded because apparently it is needed for library e-books. Opened the “how to”-document and was blown away by how bad this app works. It was worse than looking at a manual for china products at some obscure page.

It’s actually unbelievable. I guess I’ll just read the library book on phones browser, works much better.

Not really made for newer iPhones…

This app is clunky and not optimised for iPhone 13. The top row of the book is hidden behind the iPhones camera… it’s extremely annoying and there should be margins in the top. You can choose to have margins on the sides, why can’t you choose the top too?

Completely useless app. It’s not possible to read the books you have on there, it either skips pages or turns them into blurry looking photo copies. Only had to get this because the ebook I purchased wasn’t available to use with any other programs. Do better Adobe.

Det går tyvärr knappt att läsa boken i denna app som den nu är. Omständligt att verifiera sig och omöjligt att zooma in texten utan att allt hoppar runt och blir oläsligt.

Boken jag betalade för är till ingen glädje, om jag inte kör print screen och skriver ut den.

Boken såg väldigt vacker ut med bilder i akvarell. Synd om författaren så försök att få ordning på appen.

Exklusivistiskt skräp

En urusel app. Jag vet att den är usel eftersom den låter inte en bara läsa EPUB-filer eller acsm-filer utan att ange vem man köpte den av. Problemet är att det är en amerikansk app som bara känner till amerikanska försäljare. Detta innebär att om man köper en bok från någon som inte är en amerikansk försäljare kan man bara helt enkelt inte öppna boken.

Håll dig till Google play böcker eller den inbyggda appen i Apple produkter som heter Böcker. Du kommer bara kunna köpa böcker från dem men priset är rättvist.

Notes in expired ebooks gone!

For over ten tears, users in the Adobe community have asked for improvment with lost notes in expired library ebooks. Total silence from Adobe on this. Don't use this app for library ebooks, your notes will be lost!

Worst ever

After installing the app and going to settings to try to authorize the app I get the error: “ Error Digital Editions encountered an error while activating.”

Adobe tells me there is no support for the app because it is free. Maybe Adobe should have skipped releasing a free app that does not work. If I could give Adobe no stars I would have. Now I am forced to give them one star, that they do not deserve.

Worste read-app ever

This is so bad, and the reading of my good book gets so frustrating. Marking lines does not always work, lines that are marked will not appear as marked. Pages Will not load. Pages moves without action.

You really need to test reading an entire book and see if you make it work. One thing to not offer good functionality bur when the functionality is there, it should be tested and actually work.

Look for other testers!!! And developers!

And maybe someone who knows user experience....

Crashes at every opportunity, forgets where you left off, and needs to redownload the book each and every time. Avoid if at all possible.

Incredibly buggy

I feel a bit cheated that I was required to use this software to read some books. It’s incredably buggy in all sorts of ways and every action is filled with anxiety. Just now for example, I zoomed in on the text and after that the zoom got stuck. Came to the app store with the hope of an update but no. Soon I’ll just buy a new version of the book.

Jag har lagt ner många timmar på att försöka få den att fungera på iMac, lPad och iPhone. Det går att få den att fungera på iMac men inte tillsammans. Man fastnar då i en authorize och deauthorize process, som aldrig tar slut. De felmeddelanden man får är fullständigt obegripliga.

Garbage

This app is just garbage in every way possible, and its a shame I am forced to use it. Reading a book is just impossible. You cant flip the pages properly, its even worse if you try to use your device in landscape mode. You want to use dark mode? Get prepared to be flashed with a pure blinding white screen everytime you wanna try flipping the page.

Does not work on Ipad pro

False marketing and I had to go against better knowledge and buy an ebook. This is the 3d ebook I buy and it is so overprised tobuy a book that only can be opened in a not functioning app that constantly crasches. Every time i have to restart the ipad to get this incredibly bad app to restart. I am amazed that it is possible to sell ebooks at all when they are so incredibly bad in comparision with normal pdfs. And pdfs can be opened in apps that actually work. It is strange that a serious company as adobe do not feel ashemed to have such a incredibly bad product with their logo on.

Adobe worse than Analog

I cannot fathom that this is a Adobe product. I have to use it for course literature and it makes studying so much harder. Constant crashes makes notes and highlights disappear for several pages. If only the latest change was lost - fine, but this software is as if it was from the 90’s. I will have to use it for my studies, but I did not have to. If you don’t have to use this, walk away and look elsewhere.

Oduglig bok-app

Om jag skrev vad jag verkligen känner skulle min recension bli bortgallrad för svordomar och näthat. Ännu en app för att läsa böcker, och ännu en gång som jag måste sitta och googla efter hur man gör för att få in e-boken i appen så man överhuvudtaget kan läsa den. Än har jag inte lyckats, där jag sitter här med min civilingenjörsexamen i datateknik. Jag förstår att man kan behöva DRM-skydd för böcker, men det här krånglet är inte rimligt. Boken jag vill läsa finns inte som pappersbok, annars hade jag aldrig köpt e-boken.

Dålig ursäkt för en bok

Appen saknar helt känslan av att läsa en bok. Otymplig och klumpig. Känns mer som ett inscannat dokument än en digital överföring. Ännu en onödig app som jag som användare tvingad installera. Just nu har jag mina digitala böcker utspridda i fem olika bokläsarappar varav endast en är hyfsad, resten är värdelösa.

Adobes läsapp tillhör den senare.

För mycket störningar

Sämst! Har kurslitteratur på denna app eftersom det var ett måste. Måste starta om appen stup i kvarten, då den bryter ihop hela tiden. Snabbfunktioner så som gå-till-sida, kapitel, refresh osv fungerar dåligt. Mycket frustrerande!
