really cool app!!

I love the sounds of the typewriters and it’s much more fun writing on this app in comparison to my computer. I use a Bluetooth keyboard for my IPad for this and it works great. I can write in Swedish, German, English and Spanish even though in the description of the app some of these languages aren’t included. I can also write in Greek but the font isn’t the same, so if they could fix a similar font style with the Greek letters it would be amazing!!!

I also really like that you can try out the different types of typewriters so you can pick to purchase what you’d like! I strongly recommend this app!

Hanx Writer is a fraud, be warned!

I paid 119 Sek for the whole collection of the Hanx typewriter Writers, guess what? I got nothing. None of the writers would unlock. And then I paid another 35 sek for just one of the typewriter I got nothing!

Fun idea but a frustrating experience in practice

When I write I want to see the page from the top not having to look down at the bottom or not being able to see the whole horizontal line of text.

It offered me an in app purchase for 30SEK for what I thought was the fix for this problem but it turned out I payed for just another typewiiter!

Ergonomically, it is a terrible idea to have just a few lines of text at the bottom of your iPad screen, especially when the paper moves laterally back and forth taking the text out of sight. I use a bluetooth Apple external keyboard so the trendy onscreen typewriter keyboard is wasted on me at least. Please have an option to place the ’paper’ at the top of the screen so we can always have an overview of the text we are writing.

Another oversight is that the in-app purchase to enable Hanx typewriters to be used in other apps like email, texting etc only work completely if you use the onscreen keyboard. If you use an external USB keyboard there are no longer any typewriter sounds - you have to use the onscreen keyboard only.

One reason I made that in-app purchase was to be able to use typewriter sounds in other favorite writing apps that don't have that option. Having to use the onscreen keyboard to access sounds is impractical for longer documents.

Please makes sounds available when using an external keyboard.

Bara sidor, inte dokument

Appen har stöd för åäö om ett externt tangentbord används. Däremot går det inte att slänga papper eller ha olika dokument, vilket gör det besvärligt om man vill skriva flera olika och längre texter. Ljudet och grafiken är positivt inspirerande.

In the northern Europe we use ÅÄÖ and they are missing. Otherwise it's a great app.

Dear Tom Hanks,

This app is truly awesome. However, the fact that I cannot write in my native language containting å, ä and ö while listening to the sweet, sweet typewriter sounds of Hanx is really bugging me. At least have optional characters behind every letter when you press and hold it. Thanx Hanx!

Cool sound effect, crashes on other applications

I tried using the keyboard in Writeroom and the content of my document was erased, plus the keyboard disappears suddenly. It would be cool to have the swedish ö ä å letters as well!

This is a fantastic app, with the exception of only having an English keyboard. Being able to use a Swedish keyboard would be useful.

Helskön skrivmaskin

Tillsammans med ett bluetooth tangentbord (köpte ett linocell för 300 på kjell&co) blir detta en perfekt skrivmaskin, som även stödjer svenska tecken. Började använda den igår, och har redan varit mer produktiv än på många veckor. Det är nåt med enkelheten som gör det, tror jag. Lite småbuggar här och där, men inte så det stör allt för mycket.

Lacks support for international keyboard layouts

The app has a beautiful and inspiring feeling, but without the support for additional keyboard layouts (except English), the app is not very useful for us in the non-English speaking parts of the world.

So, I'd love to see Swedish supported in the future!
