The FUJIFILM Camera Remote is an application provided by FUJIFILM that can operate wireless-equipped digital cameras by remote control to shoot images and to view images and movies in the camera and to transfer them to smartphones or tablets. And it also supports the cameras that offers Bluetooth® capability. Pair it with your smartphones or tablet devices, it synchronizes "date and time" and/or "location information" of your smartphone or tablet devices with the cameras that offers Bluetooth® capability. In advanced of shooting, to easily transfer pictures you have taken to the smartphones or tablet device via this application. Bluetooth wireless remote shutter release can be used for cameras that offers Bluetooth® capability. In addition, firmware update is now supported from your smartphone or tablet devices via Bluetooth without the need of a SD memory card.

It should NOT be Required to give this app access to location data to even begin using the app! Pain in the a__. The previoud versions were not like this. THIS IS WHY one should never "upgrade" Anything anymore.

I’m surprised…
…that a company with top notch cameras have released this dreadful app. It is probably better to take it down. To make things worse, one is asked to connect to the app when setting up a new camera. Thus, this is the first Fujifilm-impression you get. I’m confused to say the least.

Worst malfunctioning app
Since I changed phone recently I had to reinstall the app. It took me more than 2 hours to get the app up and running, mainly because it never offered me to pair it over Bluetooth with the camera, despite several uninstalling and reinstalling it. Nowhere in the settings was an option to “pair over Bluetooth”, the app shall offer this in the initial settings according to the instructions. The auto-transfer of photos from the camera to the app is also a lottery, working in one out of 100 tries… Develop something functional and easy!

Won’t connect
Worthless, useless app.
Tried X-H1, X100F and X-Pro3 with two different iPhones (Xs Max and 12 Pro Max). 99 out of 100 times it won’t connect of transfer any images at all.
This app needs to be scrapped and/or replaced!

Wifi connection in iPhone is broken and the app does handle it correctly
As an app developer it is really difficult to keep up with apple’s subtile changes regarding WiFi, as they keep improving the experience for common use cases. But this turns into a nightmare when the phone tries to connect to the internet through the camera on an unsecure network and can’t do it ( of course ) and then starts connecting to my other networks etc.
The app itself can’t handle all the problems with the communication setup and just sits their eventually timing out, eventually getting some pictures, etc.
This just doesn’t work. Too bad. You really need good iOS hard core app developers working full time on this to get it working.

UX Designers from hell
Beside the fact that the app is constantly failing to connect, to transfer or simply crashes, it is also a prime example how to not design interfaces. To transfer a single picture requires multiple confirmations on both devices, menus are all over the place, no sane mind would find it intuitive.

A joke?
For an app whose sole purpose is connecting camera to smartphone it struggles considerably. Today both bluetooth and wifi are well known technologies used in many devices, cheap to expensive - very seldom with any problems.
For a big company like FujiFilm to deploy crap like this really surprise me.
Hire some skilled people to chose a good wireless tech chip, and some good app programmers that know wifi/BT and start over. Don’t drag the good name of FujiFilm into the dirt crap that I now have to experience

Worthless, have never worked. You buy a fuji x you need a computer to transfer the pictures. If i hade known that I would kept my nikon (even old versions works flawless).

Browse camera missing
Latest update:
Turning on the WiFi on the Camera tells me to choose ”Browse camera” in the app. There is no such feature available in the app.
I found a very complicated workaround to transfer the photos (select images on camera, cancel with Back button, then choose OK instead of Cancel, I then get the question if I want to transfer the selected photos (max 15) to the phone). But that is just a crazy solution.

Highly unreliable and cumbersome. Been using it for over 4 years since getting my X100F. Was hoping it’d get better over time but no: still as unreliable and temperamental. IOS 14 is out and all I can do today is live shooting - browsing flakes out every time. Un-installing and re-installing - once again... come on Fujifilm: you obviously take pride in your cameras, why do you put up with your main mobile app being so mediocre?!
We just need something average... something that works... leave the magic to the camera.
Update: re-installing the app just made things worst! Even live shooting stopped working... argh!

Simply horrible
It’s by far the most horrible app I’ve ever used. It’s slow, it almost never connects to the camera - basically it doesn’t work. How difficult it is for Fujifilm to update and improve this app? I’m seriously considering returning my Fujifilm XT200 because I need to transfer photos quickly and it just doesn’t happen. It’s enervating.

Det funkade förut men nu går det inte att överföra flera bilder samtidigt. Man får välja ett par och hoppas att de kommer över innan appen tappar kontakten med kameran. Kan INTE förstå hur Fujifilm låter den vara så dålig.

Fungerar inte att ansluta
Försöker ansluta min X-E3 men det fungerar aldrig. Varken automatisk överföring med bluetooth eller med Wi-Fi genom att öppna appen och välja importera. Enerverande. Klickar runt och försöker lista ut om jag gör något fel, men antagligen är det helt enkelt fel på appen.

Now and again the app manages to connect to the camera but most of the time it’s a waste of time as it just won’t connect. Fix this asap please as That is half the point with your cameras to be able to transfer images on the go.

Terrible UX to start with.
It used to work at least for remote controlling.

Poor UX, low-res images and no de-duplication
First, overall app UX is quite poor. Using the app is tedious, all the way from connecting the camera to transferring images. It it was it is, somehow that’s what you’ve come to expect with “app add-one” like this. Shame really, when so much great product design thinking has gone into the making of the actual cameras.
But worse IMO, is the fact that you are only able to transfer a low-resolution images from the camera, and not the full-size version. Furthermore, images transferred with the app get a different file name from the ones transferred traditionally via a computer. That means, if I transfer images X, Y and Z using the app, and then later transfer “all new images” to my computer, the computer will view each image as a new image and I will end up with duplicates. This makes it a real pain to use with iCloud Photo
Library etc.
Thus, this app is really only useful for quickly moving a photo to your phone for sharing with someone and then instantly deleting it from your library.

Does not work 90% of the time
I love my X-E3 for its mobility and amazing picture quality... but the amount of problems I’ve had connecting to this app really has ruined an otherwise quick and effortless workflow. Please Fujifilm, fix this! I really don’t want to change my camera system just because of the connection problems I have with this buggy app.

Stopped working
For some reason the app stopped working, the phone will simply not connect to the camera (x-h1) anymore.
Fuji, your cameras are great, but this app has been a headache since x-t1.

Simply does not work...
Used to work like a charm, but then I uppdated the app and now no matter what I do it’s impossible to connect to either xt-2 or xt-3. Seriously Fuji, without a working connection camera-iPhone, the cameras are useless.
