Impaktor is a drum synthesizer with a vast sonic palette, that turns any surface into a playable percussion instrument.
You just slap your desk like you would a real drum. The real acoustical impulses from the built-in microphone are used as an excitation source for advanced sound modules that simulates behavior of membranes, cymbals, metallophones or strings. This makes Impaktor a highly responsive and expressive instrument.
With semi-modular architecture and several types of synthesis, Impaktor can produce a wide range of tones, from acoustic, like Tabla, Djembe, Marimba, Cymbals, Metal bars to electronic or industrial sounds.

Feels fresh and innovative
After 2 years, I guess, on the AppStore and I really feel like I've missed out on something! This app is really fun and you can make custom beats so quick and easy. Works flawlessly in audiobus and as inter app so I can actually use it in my music.
I also recommend checking out sunrizer!! Amazing synth from Beepstreet. Easily one of my favorite synths in the AppStore. High quality sounding with great presets and easy to tweak with its stable interface!

Better than hardware!
I have a real 600€ drum machine and honestly make better beats with this little tool since it's so natural to use. Love it so much that i had to give it to some friends so they don't miss out.
Also, I asked the developers for midi export and they responded immediately. Let's see how that develops.

Fantastic app. Very musical and great fun. Definitely one of the most instantly rewarding musical apps out there. I only have a couple of suggestions for improvements 1) there are some occasional glitches on my iphone 4 even with reverb off 2) there are hundreds of drum presets but I can't find any preset kits, this would have been awesome, for example a TR909 kit, acoustic kit, industrial kit etc.
