All you need!
To give a direct rating to this app it has to be a 5 star, you have everything you need (going by the fact that you’re using this app to search up words of course) in one app, it also saves the last searches word for you to go back to if you’ve incidentally forgot it! Overall amazing in terms of explanations, examples, etc. and it’s FREE.

Four stars instead of six
I am so grateful to have this indispensable robot by my side when I read. I would love to give MW six stars out of five. But to my disappointment nowadays disturbing ads try to cover the screen. Minus two stars! Why not try the Wikipedia method to restore the MW dignity - simply ask us, your diligent users, for crowd funding?

I use this app everyday and I'm thankful for its comprehensive content. It includes both a dictionary and a thesaurus - free of charge.
As generous as that may be, my user-experience, not to mention my regard for the Merriam-Webster brand, has worsened ever since some schmuck decided to introduce full-screen ads.
Of all the ways to receive payment I expect an institution such as MW to present a better solution to their problem; because buying myself out of (useless) ads is something I refuse to do out of principle. There must be a middle-way, shape up and find it.

Dictionary is very good, but I paid the pro version since long, and with iOS8 I get the rubbish ads again and thesaurus is gone! Bad!

Very handy
Now that I've used this app for quite some time I figured hey, why not review it and rate it. Totally impressed! I love how you are able to search a word by the mic button. Also, you are able to tap any word to get definitions. Very great.

Fascinating
Merriam-Webster shows how it should be done! Easy and quick to use. Voice input works well most of the times.
