No subscriptions
A decent app all in all, but I seriously won’t pay a hefty price for a subscription whereas the displayed color on an iPhone screen will differ a lot from actual Pantone color patches. Please give us the pay once option back.

Pantone kidnaps my app!
If Pantone released a NEW app, nobody would bother. But I nstead, they take an existing app and literally turns it into ransomware. "You want your functionality back? Pay up - monthly!"
This is an absolute disgraceful business practice and a textbook example of how to turn a colourful brand into a shady one. I sincerely hope Pantone quickly rolls back this mess, because now it's nothing less than a complete scam.
Can't believe this "upgrade" was approved into the App Store, but that's a slightly different topic.

This update deletes what you previously paid for
Everyone who paid good money for myPantone will have their product stolen back by Pantone, and replaced with this stripped down version that tries to sell your colors back. So not only do Pantone want more money for what you already bought, they want it monthly/annually. Give me back what I bought. This update is borderline criminal.

Warning
If you had myPantone app and had invested in the in app purchases this is a trapp. I will not uppgrade on my iPad, found an old restore, but wish I had backed up before installing this. It is a bit devious because it has a name change. Did not realise that Pantone would rigg this trap. I feel cheated, hope they can fix it!

Process Cyan, Process Yellow, Process Black m fl. saknas. Det verkar som om Pantone inte bryr sig om den här appen längre. Undvik.

This app is really bad. It does very little and a lot of that doesn't even work.

Colour Match disapointing
The colour match is not good enough with an iphone screen! Very disapointing for that money.

Potentially very useful, but need a little work and/or price reduction.
This is the app I've been looking for. Since starting Design school I've found a regular need to match up colors in my projects and the iphone's camera seemed like a great tool. This app makes that possible.
PROS: Plenty of colors and great information. Grabbing color info from the camera is very useful indeed, just watch out for color cast from the camera! Try and get neutral lighting (not warm or cold).
CONS: When using the camera to create color information, it doesn't average out what the camera sees and thus averaging textured surfaces is next to impossible (such as finding the color of a large brick on the side of a building). It would be great to have a pin point AND an average function here. Program is also a little slow on iphone 3G. Program is also a little expensive for what you get. Needs a reduction of about 30%.
VERDICT: I'd wait for an update and/or price reduction. Only grab if you need this kind of app for everyday use but don't mind not getting perfect results from the camera (due to CONS mentioned).

Lacks two features i expected
The idea of this app is great but after buying it i was disappointed to see that it was two features i expected.
- CMYK values are missing.
- Ability to "swipe" through the colors one color at a time. You can only zoom in on one color fullscreen and then have to zoom out to scroll to the next color.

Goodwill work but not perfekt. I'm looking more forward to the update of the app. Color Pro 1.1. witch is a better app this far. Keep up the good work and make a great update, and I will return to give you five stars.

Mig veterligen den enda färghanteraren för iPhone som hanterar L*a*b färg och därmed blir användbar för den som vill välja färg ute i fält.
